Famvaro is where a family keeps its plans, its money and its memories together.
Family life runs on a lot of small things: who’s picking up whom, when the passport runs out, what’s for dinner, where the insurance letter went, which trip is next. Most families keep all of that in a scatter of apps, notes and group chats — and the important bits live in one person’s head.
Famvaro puts it in one place that everyone in the family can open, with the right people seeing the right things. It began as a private website for a single family, built to solve their own problems, and it’s now being opened up carefully to other families.
What we believe
Private by default
A family's records — passports, health notes, finances — belong to that family. Everything starts closed, and the family's admin decides who sees what.
Yours, not ours
We don't run ads, we don't track you across the web, and we don't sell your data. You can ask for a copy of it, or for it to be deleted, at any time.
Made by a family, for families
It began as one family's own site and has been shaped by daily use — real chores, real trips, real paperwork — rather than by a feature checklist.
Honest about being early
It's a beta. Some parts are polished and some are still being adapted for other families. We'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
How access works
We’re letting families in one at a time while we’re in beta, so every family is approved by hand.
- Request an invite. Tell us your name, your email and what your family is called.
- We review it. If it’s a yes, we create your family and email you a link.
- You become the family’s admin. Sign in with your Google account and set the family up.
- Invite the rest. Add family members by email and choose whether each is an admin, a full member or a restricted member.
Who’s behind it
Famvaro is built and run by Edward Ljunggren, starting from a private site for the Ljunggren family. It’s an independent project, not a large company, so questions are answered by a person.
Where your data lives
Family data and files are stored in the EU, in Stockholm. The details, and who we share data with to make features work, are in the privacy policy.
