Terms of use

These are the terms for the beta. We plan to have them reviewed by a lawyer, and to update them where needed, before Famvaro opens to the public.

1. About these terms

Famvaro is operated by Edward Ljunggren (“we”). By using Famvaro you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

2. Accounts and families

• Famvaro is by invitation only. You sign in with a Google account, and only the email an invitation was sent to can use it.
• The first person in a family becomes its admin. Admins invite members, choose their roles and decide what each role can see. Admins are responsible for how their family uses the site.
• Keep your Google account secure, and don’t share access. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in.
• Give accurate information when you request an invite or set up a family.

3. Your content

Everything you and your family add — profiles, documents, photos, stories, financial records — is yours. You give us the limited permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people you choose, so the service works. We don’t claim any other rights to it.

You are responsible for your content. Only add material you have the right to store, and only add information about other people, including children and relatives, where that is appropriate and, where needed, with their agreement.

4. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• break the law, or store unlawful content;
• try to access another family’s data, or anything you haven’t been given access to;
• probe, overload or interfere with the service, bypass its limits, or scrape it;
• upload malware, or use the service to send spam or harass anyone;
• reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it.

5. AI features and integrations

The assistant and AI imports can be wrong. Check what they produce before relying on it, especially dates, amounts and bookings. They are not professional advice. The assistant only changes something after you confirm a specific proposal. Optional integrations with other services (Google Calendar, photo servers, flight lookup) are also subject to those services’ own terms.

6. Financial information

The finance sections are tools for keeping track of the figures you enter or import. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we don’t check that the figures are correct or current.

7. The beta service

Famvaro is a beta. It is provided “as is”: features may change, break or be removed, and we can’t promise it will always be available. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose — we’re happy to provide an export on request.

8. Fees

The beta is free. If that changes we will tell you well in advance, and you won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed to.

9. Ending your use

You can stop at any time, and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or other families, and will tell you why where we can. If we close the service we will give notice and let you export your data.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, income or opportunity, arising from use of the beta. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law — including for intent or gross negligence — or removes any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell family admins by email or in the site before it takes effect. Carrying on using Famvaro after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes go to the Swedish courts — without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. Questions? See the contact page.
